# Dally Docs

> Dally gives Claude and ChatGPT the context to understand your content: your posts, how each one did, your comments and your DMs.

You ask in the chat you already use, and the answer comes from your own accounts and from public content Dally reads.

## Get started

1. **Create your Dally account.** Select **Get started** at [dally.ai](https://dally.ai/getting-started) and sign up with your email.
2. **Add Dally to your chat app.** Choose Claude or ChatGPT and follow its steps below. You can add both to the same Dally account.
3. **Say hello.** Send *"Using Dally, get me set up"*. Dally asks you to connect Instagram, reads your posts, and offers your first question.

## What you can ask

Start a message with **Using Dally** whenever you want Dally to answer.

* *"Using Dally, based on content I've made and what's working for others, what should I make next?"*
* *"Using Dally, which of my posts performed best this year, and what do they have in common?"*
* *"Using Dally, look at my most recent post and tell me how it did against my average, and why."*
* *"Using Dally, show me the top reels in my niche from the last 90 days and the hooks they open with."*
* *"Using Dally, save my latest reel to my Swipe file."*

Dally reads far more often than it writes. When a request changes something, such as saving a reel or switching on a reply automation, your chat app shows the action and asks before it runs.

## Your account and your data

You sign in to Dally from inside Claude or ChatGPT, and each chat app reaches only the Dally account you signed in with. Connected social accounts and connected chat apps are managed at [dally.ai/settings](https://dally.ai/settings), and disconnecting Dally in your chat app's settings ends its access.

Claude and ChatGPT each keep a copy of Dally's tools from the day you connected. When Dally says it has a new version, [refresh Dally](/connect/refresh) with one press.
